What this means to us

Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Gospel simply means "good news." It is the central Christian message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. At St. Peter's we: joyfully communicate our knowledge of God's life and love in Jesus Christ with our words and actions; invite all those who are interested to accompany us on our spiritual journey; and encourage those who journey with us to enter into the fellowship of the church.

Prepare disciples

Christian discipleship is the practice of forming ourselves and others into the likeness of Jesus Christ, equipping ourselves for the work of ministry and building up the Body of Christ. As followers of Christ, we are a community that is committed to a lifelong journey of maturing our faith through: the study of scripture and its incorporation into our daily lives; an active prayer life — seeking God's blessing, power and direction; worship — loving, praising, and giving thanks to God; stewardship — practicing generosity of our time, finances, and abilities; fellowship — supporting, encouraging, and mentoring one another.

Care for the community

At the Last Supper, Jesus gave a new commandment to love one another as He loved us. In striving to emulate Christ's perfect example of love, we: use our God-given gifts to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical assistance to those in need; and minister to the members of our own parish and our neighbors in the city of Milford, the wider nation, and the whole world as we are called by God.
